Privacy policy

Effective September 9, 2026

This policy explains how TV Remote - Control & Cast (电视遥控器), provided by Chengdu Yuuglow Technology Co., Ltd., handles information when you use the app and these support pages. Contact us at support@yuuglow.com.

TV connection and information on your iPhone

The app uses your local network to find, pair with and control supported TVs. TV names, network addresses, saved devices and preferences are stored on your iPhone. Pairing tokens, certificates and the phone’s Android TV pairing identity are stored in the iOS Keychain.

Remote commands and text you choose to send are delivered to your selected TV. Your TV and its apps may process them under their own policies. We do not upload your TV list, pairing credentials, remote commands or text to a developer-operated server.

Photos and videos

The system photo picker gives the app access to the photos or videos you select. The app does not scan your entire photo library. Selected media may be copied or converted into temporary files and served to the TV over your local network.

Temporary media is removed when casting stops, an import is cancelled or the app moves into the background. Files left after an unexpected exit are cleaned up on the next launch. Downloads from iCloud are handled by Apple. We do not upload your photos or videos to our servers.

Microphone and voice

On supported Samsung TVs, speech input uses Apple Speech to turn your voice into editable text. On-device recognition is preferred where available; some languages or devices require Apple’s speech service to process audio. Text is sent to the TV only when you select Send.

On Google TV or Android TV models that support native voice remote sessions, microphone audio is streamed over the encrypted local remote connection to your selected TV. The TV and its assistant provider process it, and may use their online services. Apple Speech is not used for this mode. Language, sign-in and internet requirements depend on the TV’s assistant.

The app does not save audio recordings or upload them to our servers. Recording stops when you end the session, leave the voice interface, disconnect, or put the app in the background. Silence and session time limits also stop native voice recording. The TV or its assistant may continue processing audio it has already received.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat helps us verify Pro access, restore purchases and understand subscription performance. It processes an anonymous app user ID, purchase history and transaction information, together with technical metadata such as device model, operating system, app version, language and storefront. We do not provide RevenueCat with your TV names, pairing codes, email address, media or entered text. Automatic advertising attribution identifier collection is disabled.

Purchase information is retained as needed to provide and restore access, handle billing questions and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Deleting a TV from the app does not delete purchase records or cancel a subscription. Restore purchases in the app’s purchase screen. Manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Google Cast and other service providers

Google Cast is used when you cast to a compatible receiver. Google’s Cast SDK processes diagnostic and technical data for reliability, analytics and app functionality; its published disclosures include performance information and approximate location derived from network information. Optional discovery analytics logging is disabled, and this app uses its own media control interface. The app does not request your GPS location.

Apple, Google, RevenueCat, our hosting provider and our email provider process information needed to provide their respective services. Depending on the service, processing may occur outside your country. We use providers for the purposes described here and require appropriate data protection for information processed on our behalf. Their own services are also governed by their privacy policies.

Support emails and website visits

When you choose to email support, we receive your sender address and the content and attachments you send. The app prepares a draft containing the phone model, model identifier, iOS version and app version; connection diagnostics are optional. A model identifier describes a device model, not a unique phone. The app does not read your phone’s custom name or serial number. You can edit the draft before sending it in your mail app.

We use support information to respond, investigate the reported issue and handle related follow-up. It is kept while needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified. You can request deletion at support@yuuglow.com. Unsent feedback drafts remain only for the current app session.

Our web server records basic access information such as IP address, requested page, browser information, time and response status for security and troubleshooting. Logs are routinely rotated, normally covering approximately two weeks; information needed for a specific security investigation or legal obligation may be kept longer. These pages do not use advertising cookies, external analytics scripts or third-party fonts.

Your choices and deletion requests

You do not need to create an app account. In device management, Forget Device removes that TV’s saved record and pairing credentials from the app. Remove the phone’s authorization on the TV itself when needed. A shared Android TV phone identity can remain for other TVs. Uninstalling the app removes ordinary app storage, but iOS may retain Keychain entries; manage system backups through iOS.

You can revoke local network, microphone and speech recognition permissions in iPhone Settings. The corresponding feature will stop working until permission is restored.

For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests concerning information we hold, contact support@yuuglow.com. We may request the minimum information needed to identify the relevant records and verify your request. We will respond under the rules applicable to your location. We may retain information required for legal obligations or resolving disputes, and will explain any applicable limitation. Requests relating to Apple or a TV assistant account can also be made directly to that provider.

Children and policy updates

This app is a general-purpose TV utility and is not directed specifically at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The current version and effective date are published here. Where required, we will provide notice or request consent before a material change applies.
